Ya Maka My Weekend is a signature festival for The District that started in 1992. Reggae bands, steel drums, and beach music fill the streets of Downtown Rock Island. This arts & cultural event also features Caribbean-style food, an open air marketplace, island activities for kids, and a sand volleyball tournament.
